2 Timothy 1:9 (KJV)

Who has saved us (through what He did at the Cross), and called us with an Holy Calling(we didn’t call Him, rather He Called us), not according to our works (Salvation is by Grace through Faith, not works [ Eph. 2:8-9]), but according to His Own Purpose and Grace (refers to the reason and means), which was given us in Christ Jesus (through what He did at the Cross) before the world began(the Cross of Christ is the very first Doctrine of the Bible, actually “ foreordained before the foundation of the world” [1 Pet. 1:18-20]; consequently, every true Doctrine is built on the Foundation of the Cross, or else it’s not true).

2 Timothy 1:10 (KJV)

But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Jesus, Christ ( everything is wrapped up in Jesus and what He did at the Cross), Who has abolished death (the wages of sin is death [Rom. 6:23], thus when Jesus atoned for all sin on the Cross, this removed the means of death i.e., “ spiritual death”) and has brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel (the Gospel is the Cross, which made “ life” and “immortality” possible, and will see it’s total fulfillment at the coming Resurrection):

Galatians 2:20 (ESV)

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

Grace – undeserved favor Grace cannot be earned; it is something that is freely given

Grace is often defined as the unmerited favor, kindness, and mercy of God. It is God’s freely given, undeserved love and assistance to humanity, particularly in the context of salvation and forgiveness of sins. Salvation: Grace is often associated with God’s act of providing salvation to humanity. Jesus Christ on the Cross dying for our sins to save us. (Roman 3:24)

The gift and saving us of Jesus Christ.  I wanted to be really scriptural on this before I started. I wanted to give scriptures (there are many in the Bible) so you can see how it is important and instill that Jesus died on the Cross for us.  It was by His Grace and His Love. He loves you and wants the best for you. Turn to Him even if it’s just starting out by reading one scripture and that’s it. Give yourself a 30 day trial. Where you just do something every day about Him and I promise you, somethings gonna grow in you. I’m just saying put Him first, don’t worry if you’re not doing right and you are broken. God loves you and will take you as you are! He can heal you! Save you! Just start! Christ died  on the Cross for you to live a really awesome life with peace, hope, rest and trust and so much more! He has such great treasures for you. Don’t waste your life living for the world and not knowing what those life changing treasures are for your life.  With Christ you have power that is within you. The power to live a fully purposeful life run after Him don’t look back to the worldly things. Focus on Christ and start your day with thanking Him that He got you up, start your day with a prayer, start with just thanking Him for the blessings that you have in your life, listen to a sermon, listen to the Gospel songs, praise Him, study the bible or do them all! Everybody’s journeys are different, just start somewhere! Pick up the Word, pick up the Cross! You will see through your journey things change in your life and you begin to put yourself down. Meaning your fleshly things that you did that are not righteousness that are not of God (it could be drinking, smoking, watching shows or movies that are bad, listening to secular music, things of the world and so forth ) won’t matter and will slowly overtime die and be no more. Not to say you won’t have opposition and it’s going to be easy but with Faith in Christ and the Cross there is a new life, a healthier life! Just take it day by day. No one’s perfect God is not expecting perfection, He just wants to be first in your life so He can show you what He has for you and when you spend time with Him first you’ll start to see what Jesus did more clearly.  He was in the flesh on the Cross and He felt every single affliction! Think about that Christ knew beforehand this was gonna happen to Him fully human and He still beared the Cross for us to be renewed and redeemed! Turn to Our Lord and Savior. Start today, what do you have to lose but to gain!
